Film makers Development Programme “Talents Tokyo 2019”

The Embassy of Japan is pleased to announce that the Japan Foundation Asia Center is hosting the film maker development project “Talents Tokyo 2019 (TT2019)”.

“Talents Tokyo” is a talent development program derived from Berlinale Talents which takes place as part of the Berlin International Film Festival.

It started in 2010 with aim of fostering Asian film directors and producers with talents to be great masters of future generation. The project brings promising filmmakers together in Tokyo to help them network with other participants and industry experts through lectures and joint reviews given by film professionals and screenings at the TOKYO FILMeX.
 

Dates	November 25 (Mon) - November 30 (Sat), 2019 (6 days during the TOKYO FILMeX 2019)
Venue	Yurakucho Asahi Hall and others (Tokyo)
Eligibility	Film director or producer who is a nationality/resident of a country/region in East Asia and/or Southeast Asia
No. of people to be accepted	Twelve to fifteen
Eligible countries/area	East Asia and Southeast Asia
Application submission	May 15 (Wed) - June 15 (Sat), 2019
Organized by	Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Arts Council Tokyo (Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture), the Japan Foundation Asia Center, Talents Tokyo Organizing Committee (Tokyo FILMeX)

“Talents Tokyo 2019” will accept applications from now until June 15. The project could provide film directors and producers in Brunei Darussalam with the opportunity to be recognized worldwide and to build an international network.
