The Ship, NIPPON MARU, called at Brunei Darussalam under the 45th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP)

From 10 November to 13 November 2018, the Ship, NIPPON MARU, called at Brunei Darussalam under the 45th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP), which is the international youth exchange programme carried out by the government of Japan with the active participation and cooperation of the ASEAN member countries. His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam received in audience the heads of delegations from ASEAN member states and Japan on 12 November. During their stay in Brunei, the participants attended the welcoming dinner hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and learned about the tradition and culture of Brunei Darussalam through a homestay programme. The ship left Brunei on 13 November, and will call at the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, and go back to Japan.
