The 30th Japanese Speech Contest
The Continuing Education and Training Division (CET) of the Ministry of Education, the Language Centre at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), and the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam are organising the 30th Japanese Speech Contest on Saturday 27 August 2016, at 2:30pm at Lecture Hall, IBTE Mechanical Campus. The application for the 30th Japanese Speech Contest is now open.
This speech contest aims to encourage the contestants to give a public demonstration of their proficiency in the Japanese language. This event will also serve as a good opportunity to deepen mutual understanding between Japan and Brunei Darussalam which aspires to foster greater friendship among the people of both countries.
This contest is divided into two categories: Beginner Level and Advanced Level. The Beginner Level is specified for those who have studied the Japanese language for less than 2 years. The Advanced Level must not have stayed in Japan for more than a total of 2 years since the age of six. In each category, contestants are free to choose their title and subject but should avoid political, religious and controversial topics.

(2) Please fill in the online Application Form and submit along with relevant documents, or alternatively email them to brunei.jsc@gmail.com, not later than Thursday 30 June, 2016.
