The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Application deadline: 9 September, 2016)

The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) will be held at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam on the 4 December, 2016, organized by the Committee for JLPT in Brunei, and the deadline will be coming soon, 9 September 2016. JLPT is acknowledged worldwide to prove one’s Japanese language ability.
 
 Japanese language learners, former participants of the Japanese Speech Contest, people who are interested in studying in Japan or having an international career are encouraged to apply. Application forms are available from the Embassy of Japan for B$5 which should be returned to the Culture and Information Section at the Embassy of Japan with the registration fee of B$30.
 
The JLPT is a test for non-native Japanese speakers which evaluates and certifies individuals Japanese-language proficiency. In 2015, about 750,000 people took the JLPT in 68 countries and areas worldwide. It is the largest Japanese-language test in the world.
 
The JLPT is offered in five levels. In order to measure Japanese language proficiency as thoroughly as possible, test items are designed for each level:
 
N1: Ability to understand Japanese used in a variety of circumstances
N2: Ability to understand Japanese used in everyday situations and in a variety of circumstances to a certain degree
N3: Ability to understand Japanese used in everyday situations to a certain degree
N4: Ability to understand basic Japanese, and
N5: Ability to understand some basic Japanese
