Emperor's Birthday Reception 2017

The Embassy of Japan hosted a reception to celebrate the 84th birthday of His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan, on the 28th of November at the Empire Hotel and Country Club, having Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman as the Guest of Honor.  His Excellency, Mr Motohiko Kato, Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam also gave an engaging speech. The evening included a Japanese martial arts performance by local sports clubs and a Japanese dance performance by the Brunei-Japan Friendship Association - UTB Chapter. There were also exhibitions from Japanese companies operating in Brunei and from distributors of Japanese food.  Guests were informed about Japanese culture and the strong economic and personal relationships that exist between Brunei and Japan.
