Send-off Ceremony for Mr Fakhrul Razi before the 2nd ASEAN-Japan Music Festival

Mr Fakhrul Razi, a Bruneian singer, has been invited to represent Brunei in the 2nd ASEAN-Japan Music Festival which is held on 4 October in Tokyo, Japan. On 27 September, H.E. Mr Motohiko KATO, Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, hosted a send-off ceremony for Mr Fakhrul Razi at the Embassy of Japan in Brunei.
2018 marks the 45th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan friendship and cooperation. ASEAN and Japan's cooperative partnership began in 1973 with the establishment of the ASEAN-Japan forum on synthetic rubber. The music festival commemorates the 45th anniversary of friendly relations between Japan and ASEAN countries, organized by the ASEAN-Japan Music festival executive committee in collaboration with the Japan Foundation Asia Center to enhance this special cooperative relationship. The ASEAN-Japan music festival executive committee invites 10 singers from ASEAN countries who are influential artists to promote visiting Japan. During his stay in Japan, Mr Fakhrul Razi will deliver messages about his experience by using social networking sites. As he has 1.2m followers, we expect him to spread the attraction of Tokyo throughout ASEAN countries.
The music festival will feature performances from Fakhrul Razi (Brunei), Preap Sovath (Cambodia), Andien (Indonesia), Alexandra (Laos), SitiNurhaliza (Malaysia), Sai Sai Kham Leng (Myanmar), Sarah Geronimo (Philippines), Taufik Batisah (Singapore), Palaphol (Thailand), Dong Nhi (Vietnam), w-inds., KANJANI∞, Natsuko Godai, JSBIII, Nogizaka46 and Ryotaro Sugi(Japan).This music festival will be broadcast by NHK world and additional TV stations in ASEAN countries.
