Junior Ambassadors’ Courtesy Call to Ambassador Kikuta

2026/8/4
On July 29, Ambassador Kikuta welcomed a visit from the "Junior Ambassador Friendship Mission," organized by the International Friendship Association. The program sends young participants, ranging from fifth-grade elementary school students to high school students, on overseas trips with the goal of nurturing the next generation of global citizens. During their time in Brunei, the five participants immersed themselves in local culture through school visits and homestays, while also sharing their own Japanese heritage as "Junior Ambassadors."

Ambassador Kikuta took the opportunity to hear from the mission members about their experiences and impressions of Brunei, expressed his hope that they would deepen their understanding of different cultures, and shared insights into his own role and work as an ambassador. In closing, he encouraged the participants to treasure this experience and express their gratitude to their parents for making this remarkable experience possible. He also expressed his hope that upon returning to Japan, they would continue to share their experience in Brunei and its culture as "Junior Ambassadors."
