Emperor's Birthday Reception 2026

Mr. KIKUTA Yutaka, Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, hosted a reception to celebrate the 66th birthday of His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan, on 9 February at the Rizqun International Hotel, with Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman as the Guest of Honour. Many guests, including Bruneian government officials, individuals from business, academic and cultural field, members of the Diplomatic Corps, Japanese residents in the country and press corps kindly attended the reception.
There were also exhibition booths set up at the reception by Japanese companies operating in Brunei to share their achievements and current activities with guests.
