📣 CALLING FOR REGISTRATION FOR THE 37TH JAPANESE SPEECH CONTEST📣
We’re excited to once again co-organize the Japanese Speech Contest in Brunei!
Application for Japanese Speech for Beginner Category and Advanced Category is now open. Deadline is 27 February.
📅Date: Wednesday, 18 March 2026
🏫Location: Lecture Theatre, The Core, Universiti Brunei Darussalam
🕒Time: 09:00AM - 12:00PM
1) Japanese Speech for Beginner Category (Pre-recorded)
・Suitable for those who have studied the Japanese Language for less than 2 years.
・Open to all ages.
2) Japanese Speech for Advanced Category (In person)
・Applicants must not have resided in Japan for more than a total of 2 years since the age of six.
・Open to all ages.
The winner of the advanced category will receive a flight ticket to Japan and the opportunity to join “Japanese Speech Contest Outstanding Participants Invitation Program”. Additionally, prizes will be awarded to the top 3 outstanding speakers in each category. 🏆
Speeches will be judged based on Japanese language proficiency, grammar, composition, content, clarity, and overall appeal.
