Courtesy Call by Ambassador Kikuta on Minister of Home Affairs, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman

On February 4, Ambassador KIKUTA Yutaka paid a courtesy call on Minister of Home Affairs, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman and handed over an invitation to upcoming Japan’s National Day reception to celebrate the 66th birthday of His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan.  

Ambassador KIKIUTA expressed his gratitude that Minister would be the guest of honor at the reception. Both exchanged views on the history of friendship between Imperial Family of Japan and the Royal Family of Brunei Darussalam, including His Majesty the Emperor's visit to Brunei in 2004 as Crown Prince, as well as upcoming events such as celebration of the 80th birthday this year and the Diamond Jubilee (60th anniversary of accession to the throne) next year for His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah.
