Two principals from Sayyidina Ali Secondary School and Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School, and two teachers from Pehin Dato Seri Maharaja Secondary School and Lambak Kiri Secondary School participated in the “ASEAN-Japan Exchange Program for Secondary School Teachers” organised by the Japan Foundation.

The eight-day programme took place in Japan, where the two principals visited elementary and high schools in Fukuoka Prefecture in June, while the two teachers visited elementary and high schools in Hiroshima Prefecture in November. During the exchange, they deepened their understanding of Japanese culture and education, engaged with local educators and students through discussions, and observed Japan’s efforts to address social issues through educational practices.

On 5th December, the three participants paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Kikuta, where they shared what they had learned through the programme and expressed their eagerness to apply the insights they had gained to enrich the educational practices at their schools.
