On 21 August, Ambassador Kikuta received a courtesy call from six students from Kanto Gakuin Mutsuura High School in Japan.

The six students are participating in a 10-day exchange programme in Brunei, where they are staying with Bruneian host families. They will be engaging in a variety of activities, including lectures on entrepreneurship at Laksamana College of Business, as well as a school visit to St. George’s School. The programme aims to foster mutual understanding between Japan and Brunei.

During the courtesy call, Ambassador Kikuta expressed his hopes that the students would deepen their understanding of the longstanding history between Japan and Brunei, broaden their knowledge of Japan as they represent the country, and become more engaged with international communities in Japan upon their return.
