Japanese Language and Culture Programme during JIS Enrichment Week 2025

The Embassy of Japan welcomed students to experience Japanese culture during the Jerudong International School (JIS) Enrichment Week held from 30 June to 3 July.
The students spent a week engaging in various Japanese cultural activities, which included Japanese calligraphy, judo, yukata-wearing, with the assistance of Ms NAKAZONO Keiko, the calligrapher, the Brunei Judo Federation, and the Embassy of Japan. The students were also introduced to the traditional Japanese swordsmanship of “Iaido” by Ambassador KIKUTA.
, On the last day of the programme, the students made presentation of their research on Japanese culture and received certificates to mark the completion of the programme from Ambassador KIKUTA.
We hope everyone had a great time learning about Japanese culture and all things about Japan.
