BMC 10 million manhours without LTI and Health and Safety Day

On 26 November, Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC), a joint venture among companies of Japan and Brunei, celebrated the “BMC 10 million manhours without LTI and Health and Safety Day.” It commended a significant milestone of surpassing 10 million man-hours, representing over 11 years of accumulated work manhours, without lost time injury (LTI).This  remarkable achievement was reached on 29 October 2024.  The commemorating event showcased BMC’s commitment to safety and operational excellence.
 
Dato Seri Paduka Hj Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy and Deputy Chairman of BMC, the guest of honour, and Ambassador Maeda   were present among the other distinguished guests.
 
BMC (Brunei Methanol Company) is a joint venture established in 2006 by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, ITOCHU Corporation, and Petroleum Brunei to produce and export methanol from natural gas produced in Brunei. The Embassy of Japan wishes the continued safe operation at the BMC.
