Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) Beach Cleanup Campaign
2024/11/6
On 1 November, Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd (BMC) held the Beach Cleanup Campaign as part of their corporate social responsibility activities at Tanjung Batu Beach, Muara, and Ambassador Maeda joined the campaign.
Ambassador Maeda, together with other invited guests, BMC employees and volunteers, collected over 960kg of litters in the beach cleanup.
Japan is working towards achieving “the Osaka Blue Ocean Vision” that was launched at the G20 Osaka Summit in 2019, which aims to reduce additional pollution by marine plastic litter to zero by 2050. We hope this beach cleaning raises awareness of the marine litter problem in Brunei as well.
