Japanese University Students under JENESYS 2023 Environmental Protection Exchange Programme visited Brunei

Eight Japanese university /graduate students from selected universities in Japan participated in the “Environmental Protection Exchange” under JENESYS 2023 programme, having visited Brunei Darussalam from 22nd to 29th November 2023.
During their stay in Brunei, they visited the Ministry of Development, Kampong Ayer, Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja and other places of interest in the country. On 25th November, they joined a river cleaning campaign organised by Green Brunei. A total of 62.2 kilogrammes of trash were collected in the area of Bandar Seri Begawan. The Japanese university students also delivered presentations and held demonstrations at local schools to invite Bruneian students to understand and develop an interest in Japan and its cultural charms. They also had the chance to have a homestay in Bruneian households and experience the local hospitality.
