Provision of N95 masks from Japan to Brunei Darussalam

On 4th October, 50,000 N95 masks were provided to the Ministry of Health by the Government of Japan to combat the current spread of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam, under the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) stockpile project that is financed by the Government of Japan.
Mr. SUDA Atsushi, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Japan, and Pg Dr Haji Md Khalifah bin Pg Haji Ismail, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional), at the Ministry of Health attended the handover ceremony.
The provision of N95 masks is the latest contribution in addition to one hundred thousand doses of Japanese-manufactured AstraZeneca vaccine as well as an Emergency Grant Aid with the value of approximately USD800,000 which includes medical equipment via the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
