The Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry business delegation visits Brunei

   From 3 to 7 July, the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry business delegation, headed by Mr Michiaki Hirose, Chairman of Tokyo Gas and Chairman of Japan Brunei Friendship Association, and Mr Masayoshi Kitamura, Chairman of J-POWER, visited Brunei.

   The delegates had meetings with YB Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Minister of Finance and Economy II, YM Dr Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, the Acting CEO of Brunei Economic Development Board, where they exchanged views and opinions on the promotion of trade and investment between the two countries.

   They also met with Awang Haji Zolkiflee bin Haji Abdul Karim, Permanent Secretary (Manpower), Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry, along with representatives from Darussalam Enterprise (DARe) and representatives from the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brunei Darussalam to learn about industry in Brunei. The delegation also visited several joint venture companies in Brunei to gain insights from successful investment projects.
