Visit of Japan Coast Guard Patrol vessel TSUGARU to Brunei Darussalam

   The Japan Coast Guard (JCG) patrol vessel "TSUGARU" visited the Muara Port, Brunei Darussalam from Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 June 2019.

   During their stay, a Coast Guard Seminar was held for young officers of the Royal Brunei Police Force on board TSUGARU.

   During the one month deployment, P/V "TSUGARU" will patrol the high seas, deliver the seminar in Brunei, call at each country on its route and combine this with exercises for developing and promoting cooperative and collaborative relationships through these efforts and furthermore strengthen a Free and Open Indo–Pacific (FOIP) .


The British High Commissioner paid a courtesy call to Japan Coast Guard Vessel "Tsugaru".
Japan and the UK cooperate closely on matters of maritime security.
