Admiral Murakawa, Chief of Staff, JMSDF visited Brunei Darussalam

   Admiral Murakawa, Chief of Staff, JMSDF visited Brunei Darussalam from 31 January to 2 February at the invitation of First Admiral Pg Dato Norazmi, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.

   His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Minister of Defence and the Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), consented to award the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Command Badge to Chief of Staff, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), Admiral Yutaka Murakawa in recognition and appreciation for his service in enhancing the relations between RBN and JMSDF.

   Whilst in Brunei Darussalam, he also paid courtesy calls to the Honourable Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof Second Minister of Defence and separate calls to the Commander of RBAF and Commander of RBN, First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad. During the call, they expressed their satisfaction on the warm and friendly relations between the navies of the two countries.
