JLPT 2017 Certificate Presentation Ceremony

The Embassy of Japan hosted the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) 2017 certificate presentation ceremony on 9 March at the Embassy of Japan for Bruneians who passed the Japanese language level from N2 to N51 at the JLPT 2017 which was conducted on 3 December, 2017. During the ceremony, Mr Motohiko Kato, Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, handed over the certificates for examinees who passed and congratulated their achievement while encouraging them to keep studying Japanese language.
JLPT has been offered by the Japan Foundation since 1984 as a reliable means of evaluating and certifying the Japanese proficiency of non-native speakers. At the beginning, there were approximately 7,000 examinees worldwide. In Brunei, the JLPT was launched in 2008, and it has been held every December since then. Last year, 46 people took the JLPT last December, across a range of Japanese language levels from N1 to N5, and 21 people successfully passed.
The JLPT 2018 will be held on 2 December 2018, and the application will start from July till September2.
