Brunei Darussalam Judo Seminar

The Embassy of Japan is pleased to inform the public that there will be another Judo event coming this Friday, 9 June 2017 at Brunei Sports School.
After receiving a very positive response from the public during the visit by the Kodokan Judo Institute only one month ago, Brunei will be welcoming another decorated Japanese Judoka (Judo practitioner) Mr. Shintaro Taniguchi.
Mr Shintaro Taniguchi, holds a 3rd Dan from the Kodokan Judo Institute, and has Coaching Certifications and life memberships from USA Judo (National Level), the United States Judo Federation, and the United States Judo Association and is now Head Coach of the University of Hawaii Judo Team at Manoa, Hawaii.
The seminar will be hosted at Brunei Sports School on 9 June from 8.00pm to 10.30pm, where the public will get another chance to experience some fundamental movements and techniques of Judo. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. For those who would like to participate in the activities it is recommended to come early to reserve your place as spaces will be limited.
Starting April this year, The Brunei Sports School has conducted Judo training under their Martial Arts Academy with support from volunteer Japanese instructors every Monday and Friday from 8:00pm to 10:00pm during Ramadhan and 7:00pm to 9:30pm during non-fasting months.
