Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation Award conferred to Dato Paduka Haji Hamdillah 7th October, 2011
The awarding ceremony of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation Award and its celebrating dinner for Dato Paduka Haji Hamdillah, adviser of Brunei-Japan Friendship Association (BJFA), was convened at the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, on Friday, 7th October, 2011. During the ceremony, the certificate of commendation was conferred by the Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, H.E. Mr. Noriki Hirose, to Dato Paduka Haji Hamdillah for his invaluable contributions to promoting mutual understanding between Japan and Brunei. The Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation Award is given to individuals and organizations that have contributed to promoting mutual understanding and cordial friendship between Japan and other countries for many years. There have been two individuals, including Dato Paduka Haji Hamdillah, conferred with this award in Brunei. The patron to the BJFA, PSN Pengiran Haji Mohd Yusof, the President of BJFA, Dato Paduka Haji Adnan Buntar, Managing Director of Brunei Gas Carrier, Mr. Mohammad Awang Damit, and General Manager of Mitsubishi Corporation, Mr. Osamu Ito, were present at this ceremony.
