30th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Brunei
Japan and Brunei marked their 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2014. Taking the opportunity of the commemorative year, it is expected that the two countries will further deepen their bilateral ties in various fields including politics, economy, culture, arts, academia and tourism.
Prior to the commemorative year, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and His Majesty Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam announced the logo for “the 30th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Brunei” on December 13, during the joint press announcement after the Japan-Brunei Summit Meeting in Tokyo.
The logo was used in Japan and Brunei for the events related to “the 30th Anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Brunei”. Official events, which are endorsed by the Embassy of Japan in Brunei and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei, were allowed to use the official logo, and will be included in the event’s schedule of the anniversary.
