The 2nd Japanese Language Proficiency Test will be conducted on 6th
December this Year; the Gateway to
Japan
!
The
Embassy of Japan, with the cooperation of the Brunei Association of Japan Alumni
(BAJA) and Japanese Language Teachers in
Brunei
,
will conduct Japanese Language Proficiency Test in
Brunei
on
Sunday
6th December, 2009
.
The test is conducted annually both in
Japan
and outside
Japan
to evaluate and certify the Japanese language proficiency of non-native
speakers. In 2008, almost 600,000 examinees challenged the Test around the
world.
Until year 2007, Bruneian applicants had to go to
Sabah
University
,
Kota Kinabalu,
Malaysia
to take this test. Last year the Embassy started the test to promote Japanese
language study in Brunei Darussalam, providing easier access to the test for
Bruneians. Now, Bruneian students can take this test in
Brunei
.
The
JLPT has 4 levels ranged from Level 1 (as the most advanced level) to Level 4
(as the beginner’s one). Level 2 and 4 tests will commence from
9:30
am
and Level 1 and 3 tests will start from
13:30
.
The venue will be the Chancellor Hall of UBD and details will be
available on the website of the Embassy.
The
application form which costs B$5 per copy is now available at the cultural
section of the Embassy and the application fee of B$30 will be charged for each
test level. Applications will be accepted
from 1st August until 18th September.
The Embassy of Japan wishes that many Bruneians will take this
opportunity to have the test and make it their gateway to
